Lower Arrernte is an Arandic language (distinct from Southern Aranda) which lies in the far north of the state of South Australia. It crosses into the Northern Territory.
It lies north of the Arabana language, west of the Wangkanguru language and east of the Antikirinya language. Today, Lower Arrernte speakers live at Oodnadatta, Alice Springs etc
